In the winter of 2008 my best friend from college and I (Colin Hunter) decided to leave our jobs seeing a gap in the menswear market (in general) but particularly in the custom space for men looking for well branded but affordable fitted clothing. We set out to create a new standard in menswear providing better fabrics, better quality, better value and a better experience. Alton Lane became the answer to this problem with shirts starting below $100 and suits starting just above $500.

Today we run Alton Lane with 20+ employees based in New York City and with private showrooms in Manhattan, Washington, DC and Boston. We plan to open 12 showrooms in the next 4 years in our quest to become a nationally recognized luxury brand.

In our first three years we've done over $6M of revenue, captured 5,000+ customers and garnered over 100 press placements.
